Woke Up This Morning

....... with a song in my head. No kidding, most of the words, the tune and the chord structure. 'Course when this happens there's no certainty that what is in your head will work in reality so I went into my studio and picked up my acoustic guitar. The first two chords I imagined, G and Em worked well with the imagined tune and the words fitted. It was all inspired by this story told to me yesterday by Barry Hunt. They say Barry has a good voice so perhaps he could sing it for the video we're talking about making (digital of course). The song needs a folksy feel with acoustic guitar and accordion or squeeze box. Folk meets digital huh?

When The Boat Comes Home

When the boat comes home
There can be no denying
The emotions will flow
There'll be laughter and crying
'cos we've weathered the storm
Now the sea if calm
So you'll find me there
When the boat comes home

Instrumental section

Oh the sea has raged
And the wind has blown
But a calm will reign
When the boat comes home
